Last Monday I submitted my ITA documents to NZ House in London. I haven't as yet received any info about who my case officer is. I'm not to worried about this just yet. What does worry me slightly is that I've been checking my online profile on the immigration website, and in my status bar it tells me that my EOI was received in Oct but hasn't been updated to reflect the fact that they have my ITA/visa documents.
Question is, should I be worried about this? Because at the moment I'm getting the impression that they haven't even registered that they have my docs never mind the 1 - 3 months it takes to process them.
Thanks
Lee

Its odd reading your post because it reminds me of me!
I remember sat there checking the NZIS site twice a day and worrying that this bit or that bit of paper had gone missing, imagining that some vital piece of paper has fallen off someone’s desk and it was all going to go horribly wrong!
Its easy to say, but hard to do, try not to worry too much it will be fine. You spend so much time preparing everything that once its out of your hands you just sit and worry. Things will turn up just when you don’t expect it.
If I recall correctly it took around six weeks to get a letter back, the website was updated after that. the fee was charged to my credit card quite quickly, so if you want to be sure they have your docs then ring your card company and ask if a charge has been made.
Good luck Bob :D

Bob,
Funny that, they're quick to take the money (mine was taken on the spot at NZ House and was out of my account the next day) but not so quick at providing updates.

Hello Lee,
Just wanted to add my two cents -- I agree that the online status is not really a good indicator as it may take them awhile to catch up with what they are doing. I noticed that after my status was changed to "application received" (in July '06) it never changed again, not even after I got PR in October. I did find, though, that NZIS met all their timeframe estimates for completing next steps. Hope this is true for you also. Good luck!

Submitted our ITA on October 26 - still not been contacted by a case worker or anyone else - but they have taken our money and updated our status albeit only recently.
