We have been looking at different companies to rent a motorhome from and there seems to be a big difference in prices. We have had quotes some $2-3,000 different for the same size vehicle with same specs.

We found one company that looked ok, but when we looked closer, the price quoted was not the price it actually cost. Some quotes included insurance and some didn't and this was with the same company. :confused: Surely a companies Terms & Conditions should be the same accross the board for all their motorhomes.

This is starting to give me a headache, :wah so can anyone recommend any companies they have used before. We want a 6 birth from 10/04 to 09/05.

Also guys remember to check closely all those "Terms & Conditions" and any other small print when you'r looking, could get stung for extras!

been there! in the end we went for direct contact with maui company, so we got straightforward contract, we opt for no bond and chosen insurance covered instead.

Try Adventure Holidays. They were the cheapest when we went 18 months ago.

We used Pacific Horizon, not saying they are the cheapest but no probs with them.

We've also spent hours trying to compare prices both for campervans and for cars and feel we are going round in circles as you say. Have found a couple of sites which do comparisons eg. www.kiwitravel.com and www.seenzcampers.co.nz, I think but I'll check these, but yes beware of hugely differing insurance prices. Will continue to research and let you know what we find. Know several others are looking for same thing for March/April. Just hope we don't all choose same one to find the vans are all booked out!

Going with Britz in the end with full insurance for peace of mind, and because they only wanted small deposit and everything else included eg picnic table.....it does take time to just go through each company adn decie what's right for you and your family. At the end of the day , you won't know what the others would have been like so will just enjoy the one you picked!
