I have an opportunity to go to Koh Samui to meet up with a friend in Feb. She's going to take care of the accommodation, so I just need to book a flight. Has anyone been there? What's it like?
I've been looking into flights on the Internet, but things are getting pretty complicated, so I think I'm going to see a travel agent today. It looks like my cheapest option is to fly Qantas through Sydney to Bangkok and then Bangkok Airways to Koh Samui. However, the flights into Bangkok all arrive quite late so it would mean spending the night in Bangkok. At first I wasn't interested in Bangkok and looked into flying through Singapore instead, but the flight look more expensive. So now I'm thinking of spending a day in Sydney and a day in Bangkok. Finances are going to be tight, but I'd like to stay someplace safe. Any suggestions for accommodation or things to see in Sydney or Bangkok?
While I'm at it, my friend is thinking of doing a 7 day cleansing fast. I'm quite skeptical about fasting and just wondering if anyone here has any thoughts?
