All I am on a downer.
If you have read the thread on EOI succesful not its not.
I rang NZIS today and they said I will be allocated a case officer in DEC :eek
We want to get residency before we go on holiday on 14th MArch
Plan is we can line ourselves up with interviews (well hubby does) then with ajb offer secured we can come home sell up and were ofski.
But what if our passports don't come back in time :wah .
Anyone any ideas.

Hi Jo,
EOI is not sucessful - is that what you mean?? or has nothing gone onto the NZIS site yet?
If you are assigned a case officer then use it well ( december is one week away so badger them from december 1st)
We were declined but did get sorted in the end.
Try not to be too down - remember March is a holiday and if your not sorted with PR by then its not the end of the world. As for your passports make sure at NZIS they know that you need them - they do seem okay and relatively sensitive to such worries.
I understand what you feel when ours came back declined we were gutted - just keep at it and try to stay positive .
Don't let this make you lose your momentum and enthusiasm as for us - we faffed for the next 4 months when it happened to us and lost a lot of valuable time.
How has the job head hunting by NZ gone with you - if you can secure a job offer and start date NZIS really do hurry things up for you.
Hope this will help and I'll see you saturday
Love
Linda xx

Just look upon it as another stumbling block - yeat another NZIS hurdle. It will make things so much more worth it inthe end.
Not easy to think that way at the moment I know - but trust me - I'm a doctor.
(Well actually I'm not - but it sounds good).

Jo,
Are you referring to my post in the 'back to selected' thread? I wouldn't take this as a negative thing, it just means that a status that we all assumed we had achieved was not the case. The timescales slip but that is the problem with bureaucracy. For those that haven't read my post this is what I said:-
Our Status has reset itself to 'Selected from the pool' as well although I'm not concerned that it is a step backwards as when I was at the NZ Expo in Earls Court I asked the guy hosting the NZIS seminar about the status change to 'Decision Successful' and he stated that the London office was annoyed about peoples status being updated to this when their EOI were assigned to the London office.
I am more concerned that the London's branches timings for ITA's being issued aren't going to be met! If patience is a virtue then the NZIS must be trying to help me achieve saint status!
Cheers,
Chris.
I know it feels that you aren't making any progress but you have to remain positive. I have days when I feel depressed about the lack of movement with our application, but then I remember I still have so much to sort out before we can leave for New Zealand anyway! As it said in the Guiness advert 'Good things come to those that wait'.
Cheers,
Chris.

Don't worry - I went to NZIS today to hand in our passports and asked our case officer what would happen if they don't have passports back to us before we go to NZ at beginning of January - she said we could go in and collect them (and I'm sure its the same for getting your case officer to send it to you) at any time no problems if we didn't have PR in time.
Good luck and you've got a while yet so fingers crossed that everything will turn out fine :hopeso :hopeso
