I just read the "Xenophobes Guide to Kiwis"
Very entertaining and does seem to get down to earth with Kiwi life, its only a small book and i highly recommend it for an insight into Kiwis and there general way of life and character with some funny anectations (assuming its accurate i not been there yet!)
Heres the book:

On subject of books on NZ, i am looking for more recommendations to read, i am a sponge for reseacrh and so far read 3-4 guide books on NZ and living/working New Zealand, so if anyone can point me in direction of some more good reads i be grateful.

Would espiecally like to find some kind of Travelogues, books written as travelling around NZ rather than guide books, very much like Bill Bryson kind of books as i enjoy his travels (hes done Oz but not NZ sadly)

Thanks :nice1
