For all those who have successfully made it to NZ,

Did you bring your curtains and curtain rods to NZ? How'd you take care of your windows? I don't want the neighbors peeking! :eek

But having said that if you have some you particularly like (like me with my dining room ones) see if anyone has an old set you can borrow for a while. I wouldnt bother with the rods etc though.

This page might help you chuchi, but in any case most people leave curtains behind you should find curtains in rental houses or bought houses which will keep you going until you can get some that you like http://www.spotlight.co.nz/new/shopping/page_16

If this is the case, then it's no problem.

Thanks, Gran!

We have just had new curtains and blinds fitted in our rental 6 (small)blinds and 2 pairs of curtains for patio doors total cost (to the landlord) ...................... $3400. I have a friend who makes such things and they are not cheap here, no ikea so bring all you can. If you dont use them bin them but at least you have the choice.

Michelle

PS they are lovely though but not $3400 lovely

Yet you can buy a pair of curtains in Bunnings from $70, not sure on the size but will try to find out.
