After spookily finding out we are booked on the same flight (1st leg anyway)as Andy_Dee (who we're looking forward to meeting at N.West meet up!) I have seen loads of other people mention their trips in March so just wondered if we're all going to be there at same time! (and any more same flight co-incidences!).. so I'll start with my dates..

:)

* 24th March to 13th April (3 weeks)
* Manchester to Auckland with Singapore Air
* planning general "see as much as we can" trip - North and South Islands

so who else??

We're going too! We'll also (hopefully) be at the NW meet so should meet you there. Be nice to start a new meet group as it sounds like most of the original group are now out in NZ (or nearly there Stevie D!). Perhaps we should buy a new flag! Re our hols, we're flying out to Christchurch on 31st March and out of Auckland on 20th April so we'll probably bump into you en route! We're spending longer on S.Island as on paper that's where we'd like to live but thought we'd have a quick look at N.I. too. S.Island will be more of a recce, North Island a holiday.

We are leaving on the 22nd March from Heathrow with Air New Zealand via Los angeles. We will spend two days in LA and arrive in Christchurch on 25th March. Eventually ending up in Auckland permanently on 6th April (Good Friday)

We were planning on the 26th or 27th of March, for a 3wk visit, but I'm watching the ticket prices, and right now if we wait 5 days, the flights will be $200 bucks cheaper each! So looks like it could be April before we visit, unless the prices change again. :roll

I'm originally from N.Wales - rest of family still there and OH is a Lancashire lad. We're now living in sunny Gloucestershire but have Northern blood! There don't seem to be any meets around here so thought we'd have an exciting day out to the frozen north, maybe take in IKEA (ooh, can hardly wait) and possibly head back to Mums for an overnighter in Wales. Just thought it would be nice to chat to some folks!

We fly out March 16th from Birmingham for 4 weeks. Christchurch first for a week in a camper van, then over to Wellington to job hunt. What a honeymoon!!! :laugh

We fly out with Air New Zealand on 3rd March, camper van( finally booked with Britz), for 11 days Auckland to Wellington, then rest of time on both islands, home on 18th April. Will wave to anyone who looks like they come from this forum!!!

IKEA! Only round the corner from the pub where we meet, QVC shop is in the Warrington Birchwood centre about 5 mins away. Spent a pleasant few hours there on Sunday planning what we will be putting in the container... "spent" a load of money and got it all sussed out now. Have to wonder if it is all going to fit though, but if we have to we will sacrifice the washing machine and dishwasher to make room.

Will be really nice to meet you all, whoever turns up. Thoroughly looking forward to it.

We have decided to go for a holiday to take a last look and make sure before we take the plunge. We hope to go in March/April. Our other son goes on the 7th Feb to live and so we thought that we would go and have a holiday while we wait for his stuff to be sent to us before we apply. He will be able to give it to us there and if we are fully convinced about it all I suppose we can even apply over there......Is that possible?
