Hi all
Just a quick question and I probably know the answer. I have a passion for wicker baskets and have several....can I take them to New Zealand or do I need to think about offloading them?
Thanks
Julie

They'll need to be inspected (and maybe even fumigated). There will be a charge for inspection and the fumigation if required, unless you are lucky.

Are they special to you, because you can buy wicker baskets goods here.

We got rid of anything wicker - gave everything to our nextdoor neighbour. It was a bit galling actually. As Deborah says, we've seen lots of good stuff here!

I bought all mine, it was well hoovered to get rid of any dust, MAF had a quick glance at it, no probs, even had seagrass stuff too, again no probs.

Just make sure its clean... and declare it.

Unless you're planning on not bringing anything that needs inspecting then you might as well bring it because it doesn't really add a lot to your inspection costs (or it didn't in our case) and it is fine to bring in.

To qualify for non-inspection you are talking:

No garden stuff
No food
No bikes
No golf clubs
No Christmas Decorations

and that's just off the top of my head..
