I have a question about people visiting NZ....And bare with me, as I know this question has been asked before........just can't find it!

If my family and I move to NZ, we have other family members that want to visit for extended amounts of time (Nobody wants to stay in Wisconsin during the 5-8 months of winter if they can visit someone in NZ! :laugh ).

So, how long can someone stay in NZ and then how long must they be gone before they can come back to visit again?

Okay, I understand that you can visit up to 6 months and extend another 3 months, correct? But I thought I had read somewhere before that you then had to be out of country for a specified amount of time before you could visit again.

Anyone know the specifics? I can's seem to find the info on NZIS either. Tried several searches.

I think it is a maximum of 9 months in NZ in any 24 month period, but this may be out of date.
