Just wanted to get a rough idea on times from different people.

How long before you were pulled from the pool from when you submitted your EOI?

And how many points did you have?

I submitted mine (online version) on the 15 December, and it was selected on the 21st December.
I had 110 Points with a job offer.

In a sense, "immediately", but that was about 12 days after I submitted it. My EOI (125 points and no job) was selected the next time they had a drawing from pool.

As other people have said, the "bar" is set a little higher in January because they have a bigger pool of applications from which to draw. (They didn't draw anything out during the Christmas and New Years holidays, so they have more applicants with high point totals in the pool.)

I submitted mine on 12 January '06 and was selected 15 March '06, with 125 points and no job. Received ITA around 24 March if I remember correctly. I did have university degrees and experience in a skills shortage area to balance the lack of job offer.

This is handy to know. We should have the same amount of points when Col comes back from his recce with a job offer. Will be submitting out EOI in April so will have to wait and see what that month is like for selections...!

we put ours in december and were selected january with 140 points and a job offer,

havent heard anything since then though.
