Fear / Excitement

Well, it's almost our turn to "walk the walk" - we fly out this Friday.

We've sold both cars and Keith's bike this week. Had the shippers in last Friday to pick up what little of our life here we are taking with us (16 boxes !). Decorated Keith's flat and hand the keys to the estate agent tomorrow.

We're going up to see Keith's parents Tuesday and his son on Wednesday to say "see you later" !!!

I saw my brother last Friday - which was a teaful experience, but he promises faithfully to be out very soon.

We have no internet connection, so have to go to the local pub to log in.

We're flying via Hong Kong, arriving in Welly 4th Feb. My daughter arrives 6th Feb for about 10 days - seeing her off will be my heartbreaking bit for sure...

So - that's us... two years and a few months from our initial application it is finally our turn.

I feel very excited, very scared yet very optomistic about our future. We feel that (even though we're not there yet) we have a better chance to succeed with our dreams there than in the UK - only time will tell eh???

Will post again when we arrive safely and hope to meet up with some friendly faces in & around Welly.

See you on the other side....

Good luck with it all Debby and Keith. I know you guys tried your utmost to get to one or two of the NW meets, and have met up with some of the members, but unfortunately we never got to meet. Well hopefully you'll be able to hit the NW meets that we have over here soon enough.

Yay Debbie! Have a fab trip, and don't forget, (especially after all your help with my IOM research!) you only have to yell if you need help or a room on the South Island ;)
