Hi,

I'm new to this forum, but not new to nz. I'd been here for 7 years... almost can't believe it myself. I just published my story under the name of Jean in the migrant stories section and hope this can help some of you. Having said that, there is always so much to learn for myself. I wish I had known such website and forum when I was moving. Looking back, we could have done a lot of things differently had we got some practical advice.

Hope I can make some friends through this forum.

Cheers,

Angie and Mick

Hi Jeaney

Welcome to the forum. Where did you live before going to Nz.

We lived in Beijing, China, before moved to Auckland. Noticed that there are very few Chinese on this forum even though people talking about Chinese migrants all the time....I published my story there, so you'll learn a bit about our experience.

Cheers,

Hello Jeany and welcome to our world. Am sure as you say, you can still learn from folk who have less experience than yourself. So get in there and give us your knowledge and i'm sure we will give you something in return. And i'm sure you can make friends of course.

Jeanie,

Wonderful story, well written & informative.

I am a Chinese immigrated to CA/WA USA almost 30 years ago. We are currently working on NZQA & ITA process. One of my best friends & family are living and working in BJ right now & I have visited them 2 years ago. Your accessment & advise are very accurate. Thank you for your story, I enjoy it very much.

Enjoy NZ.
