Finally today our container arrives in Welly. It goes into storage for a few weeks and we should, if all goes to plan, get our stuff on the 20th. A day or so afterwards all the kitchen bits and pieces that we bought to see us through the last few weeks will become surplus to requirements. If you are arriving in Welly in Feb and are going to be without your stuff for a while you are welcome to them.

Its nothing special, just a couple of saucepans, frying pan, 2 kitchen knives, 4 knives, forks, spoons and teaspoons, plus kettle and toaster. We aren't asking for any money for it - just that you do the same thing once your container arrives.

If noone wants it then it'll just go to a charity shop or whatever.

We would jump on your offer in a heartbeat, but the timing's off for us....you are so sweet to offer up like that, someone should defiantly take you up on it! :D

What a lovely gesture. I hope someone takes you up on it and then spreads the love :)

Hi trigirl.. I wanted to see if anyone needed the stuff more.. but we didn't bring anything other than our dishes when we moved. We were just about to go buy a bunch of stuff at the warehouse as it didn't make sense to bring our american appliances and we gave away our pots and pans rather than move them twice.

Wow definately we need more people like you in this world what a nice gesture to even think of doing this....We are arriving in Wellington in the 22nd but we will be staying with my mother in law, so i won't be needing anything for that time, but really thanks for offering this things, i am sure someone will take the offer...or probably they just thought it was a joke.
:clap just for ur good heart!

I've been a little hesitant at putting my hand up here - but I will now that the posting has been up a while.

we are busy working on our ex-rental property to sell it. I want to furnish it (minimally) before we have viewers through it as it is much easier to sell like that.
We would welcome your stuff Trigirl - and am happy to pass it on to anyone who is arriving after we sell (hopefully in late March/early April)

Not really what you had in mind - but I could keep the chain going........ I may even be able to add a few things by then

And yes - it's a lovely thing you are doing. :nice1

Actually Tina (Tinaelsdon) was just telling me yesterday that she needs a set of "essentials" to get her over a few weeks until her stuff arrives - not sure if she has seen this or not.

Maybe you could drop her a pm Trigirl?
:-)

hi carol

thanks for reminding me to post back on here. wandering oregonian has offered a home for my spare kitchen stuff. i hope you find some stuff for your rental and that tina manages to get sorted out with something too.

i can't wait to get my own stuff back out of that container and have familiar things around me again!
