Can't comment on car boot sales, I have to say that I haven't seen any,but that doesn't mean to say that there aren't any.

However, there does seem to be a lot of 'Garage Sales'

Also, we went to an auction last night and picked up a few bargains.........apparently its a weekly auction and they sell everything from bric-a-brac to cars.

It was an interesting experience to say the least !!

There's the odd carboot - but they are really treated as a novelty here - garage sales is what most people have & they advertise them in the local paper or with lots of painted signposts on their street, or some people have flyered the letterboxes in the street when they've been doing one.

they do have a few, theres a regular one at a local school and one or two other schools have them as fund raisers. Yep theres lots of garage sales but they involve a lot of driving from one to the other.

Stevie

I have lots of boxes of stuff to shift as well. which car boot sale are you using? I was thinking of the one near B&Q just off the M62 but have the advantage of being able to wait until the weather is a bit warmer.

We used that one several times before we moved out here ,we used to live 5 minutes walk from there.

My kids School had a car boot sale ,earlier this year .

But lots of people self advertise garage sales at the Weekend.[We are tempted to have one ,get rid of the junk we dragged half away around the world :roll ]

Thanks Specy and Marie, didn't know about that one. We are going to do the St.Helens one, in the multi storey car park. Supposed to be quite a good one.

Is the one in Warrington a weekend or weekday one?

Steve, did you manage to get to a car boot sale today.

I think the on near B&Q may be shut for a couple of weeks because 'blackpool has come to warrington' - as the adverts say - in reality a big fun fair has taken over the site so currently avoiding the area as don't want the boys asking to go.
