Just thought I'd share the photos of Pepper arriving safe and sound at Wellington Airport. May put some minds at rest if you are worried about shipping a pet over. She was so excited to see us it was worth the money (£1300).

Nic and co, lovely pics, but sad news for us, we can't bring our other Yorkshire Terrier because the vet said she mightn't make the flight. Very sad, not the happiest times in the household - and the kids don't know yet - GULP! :(

Oh no, StevieD, that's so sad! :( What are you going to do with her?
My mum sponsors dogs at a really great organisation that takes on elderly dogs or dogs that can't be rehomed for whatever reason and allows them to live out their lives in a home environment. I'm sure you've got arrangements set up, but if you need to know the details, let me know.
We just need to find something similar for our old kitty :(

Oh Steve I'm so sorry to hear that. Upsetting for all the family. Any luck finding her a home?

Nicola,
you must be very relieved! She looks in great shape and is really interesting to see the type of crate etc and where you had to go to collect her. She looks like she's definitely settling in! - thanks for sharing with us...
Steve/Debbie - Really really sorry to hear your news. Although deep down, you know you're doing whats best for them, must still be heartbreaking.... good luck with finding a new home for each of them.

oh no :( if it makes you feel any better, we looked after a dog that had to be left behind by her owners when they moved to aussie as she was too old also (very sad, lost her hearing flying from aussie when they moved the first time, they didnt pressurise the hold where she was kept properly) so there are people out there that would love to take your dog.
good luck with telling your kids
