Hi all

Once we get our qualifications assessed by NZQA, does the full assessment expire e.g. does it matter if we get the assessment done say 6 months before we come over? Probably a silly question, but we thought best to ask just in case!!

Also, their website talks about getting work experience assessed as well. Is this necessary if we're going to get work based more on our experience than qualifications? Gareth is in IT and has a lot of experience but no degree etc so should we get his experience assessed?

Thanks for the help everyone :)

hello Kim and Gareth
I don't know if you still need this information but the answer is yes. As writen in the NZQA guide "the assessment report has an expiry date of three years after the assessment report is issued by NZQA". A good thing to know.
