Well i've been monitoring this forum for a while as We have been planing our move to NZ for years, eventualy we decided it was time :exit so the countdown started.
Its been almost 6 month since we started the countdown and now we have a buyer for our house, Should have the contract with a job offer on Monday. and then its medicals on the 13th (Not looking forward to that).
While waiting for medicals we will also submit EOI so by the next draw we will have our medicals done.Once we get the medicals its a work permit (Ive been told it could take a while in South Africa) and then on a plane in the beginning of April so that I can start my new Job in Auckland.
We are really exited and nervous at the same time, so many what ifs!!!!
What if my experience is good enough, what if the money isn't enough, what if I have major medical problem that I don't know about. What if the sale on the house falls through. what if pigs could fly...... you get the idea
I'm mostly worried about the medical. not because i'm a sickly person, in fact Im rather healthy but don't have a spleen due to a Motor cycle accident and recently I found out my ALT and AST levels are elevated. The doc says it could be because of me not have a spleen.
In the long term I'm sure the medical will be ok but it may take a while, I just hope it doesn't slow down the work permit application too much.
Ill definitely be more relaxed once I have the work permit in my hands :)
