Hi!

I've noticed that the slow processing at NZIS London has continued. Does anyone know the reason?

We submitted our ITA on 20 October (and I've noticed others who submitted in October), so we're getting excited about the upcoming events and nervous about the continued delays.

Any info is helpful!!! So close, but yet so far!!!

Hi Beth

I know another user (Aliz76) submitted her ITA on 5 October and have just been assigned a case officer. Typically, she has also just received a job offer so the long wait is almost over for her and her family.

We're someway behind you, in that we submitted our ITA in December. I find waiting is the hardest part of this process but we just have to learn to be patient. Easier said then done, I know. ;)

It's good to hear that the timeline keeps moving even though the website still says they're only allocating ITAs up to 2 October! Thanks for the info, PinkPiggy!

As an example, for the week ending 9th February 2007 we are allocating files lodged up to and including 27th October 2006.
Beth

Just seen this on NZIS website and wondered whether you have now been given a case officer?

I think it might be the fault of all those applying with a job offer jumping the queue.

As by our signature, I submitted the ITA on the 23rd of October. The case worker just made contact on Tuesday and we had the interview over the phone Thursday morning.

Going back to the original question, here's our current timeline:

Oct 20 - Submitted ITA
Feb 7 - Assigned to case office, questions regarding intent to get skilled employment (see other post on Evidence of Job Search)
Feb 13 - Submitted evidence of intent to get skilled employment

So, we're waiting for the evidence to be received and, hopefully, found to be sufficient.

By the way, in case anyone's had this one: Our case officer also returned my husband's medical certificate because the radiologist had completed the x-ray certificate incorrectly. (boxes were circled instead of ticked, didn't complete fields for address/contact info) It wasn't sufficient that an additional page from the radiologist was attached that attested that Husband's lungs were 'normal'.

So, as advice, make sure that your medical certificates are filled out correctly before leaving the doctor's office!!!

As an example, for the week ending 9th March 2007 we are allocating files lodged up to and including 30th November 2006.
Thought I would update this link with the above information for everyone who is waiting and waiting and waiting for a Case Officer. :wah We lodged our ITA on 7 December so hopefully not too long for us now.

Update on the Cox timeframe:

Feb 26 - Had settlement interview, told expect a decision in two weeks
Mar 2 - Received update from case officer, second reviewer out of the office so may take a bit longer than two weeks, but that is still the goal

Still so excited!!! Still so nervous!!!

Just noticed this thread - doesn't really concern us too much coz we fly out on Friday. But all I can say is be patient, prepare while you have the time, because it is amazing how quick the time disappears when you in the thick of it all.

Good luck to you all. Hope your wishes and dreams come true. It isn't easy, but let's just hope it is worth it in the end.

hello beth

i'm strange to you but i've been lurking around this forum since 2005. the moderators and most senior members have heard of me. i'm still here in my country of origin (philippines) waiting for our visas. eoi selected nov 2004, ita sent july 2005, ita lodged nov 2005, interview at bangkok mar 2006, was put on hold because of global priorities at shanghai branch in april 2006, processing resumed july - sep (i think) 2006, visa officer asked us for "proof of singleness and dependency" of our 2 kids aged 21 and 19 just last feb 2007. so now still waiting...

our visa officers have been so long in issuing visas. i heard from our end that some of our visa officers (those assigned to asian countries) were re-assigned to auckland branch of nzis, to speed up the backlog there. joking aside, maybe the reason for your slow process is because our visa officers are now assigned there to process your cases, haha.

take heart, though, it won't be long now. at least you get PR. we hope for wtr at best. but anything's okay with us, as long as we get visas to nz.

hope to see you in welly or wherever... sometime soon! (i have 5 kids)
