Hi there

Just looking for advice about how to go about doing this.

I've spoken to Teachers Council and NZQA and apparently what my husband did in order to become a Teacher (Graduate Training Programme to achieve Qualified Teacher Status) doesn't equate to anything in New Zealand so he can't teach there automatically but we've been told that Track 2 registration as a Teacher with the Teachers Council might be suitable for him but it seems daunting as lots of information to gather together.

Just wondered if anyone had done this and been successful.

am busy finding this out myself, landed a week ago and currently asking all the same things. current suggestion is to KEEP his QTS folders and use the info he had to collect there to prove the next. haven't yet come accross anyone who has yet finished this process so will try update as I learn more :o

poss refer you to "calbabe" who has gone through this from a being a TA for 12 years, and was accepted in NZ as a teacher... check it out: ;)
