British ex-pat friends of ours (kids are in same class at school) are about to be relocated to OZ, and rather than selling their house are looking to rent it out for some time first. Here are some details:-

Macleans College / Bucklands Beach Intermediate / Pigeon Mountain School zone
4 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite)
VERY large living area with Gas fire (lovely and warm)
Spacious Kitchen with Gas hob
Good size garden with climbing tree, playhouse & veggie patch


We would have rented it from them (we only moved ourselves 2 weeks ago) but unfortunately they didn't have their Visa's approved in time.

Gil PM's me last night on behalf of a friend of hers, who's now in contact with the owners. Rent should be under $500 a week, which is normal for this area. Will let you know if it remains available. Good luck with the househunting.

Gil's friend decided not to take it, as it backs onto the main Bucklands Beach Road. The integral garage and two of the bedrooms do indeed back onto / face the road, but the frontdoor actually opens into your (fully fenced & lockable) garden which is around the side and back of the house. We have 2 children (aged 4 & 7) and had the timing been right, we'd have rented this property no problem!

They are looking for $480 a week, and are now aiming for around 10th March to depart for Brisbane. Looking to rent out for 6months initially.
