Others in English speaking countries who have applied for TC registration, please help!!
I am ready to send off my Teachers Council application today. I reviewed the application to discover that I might need more proof that I am English proficient!! I mean, I was born and raised in the US and all my education was in English. I even have a BS and MS in English!
Am I reading this wrong?
Page 5 of instructions for TC1 application:
"Applicants proficient in English"
(there are several items from which to select showing English proficiency. I chose the following)
"Teacher Education in English and in a country where English is an official language"
You are considered proficient in English if:
You completed your teacher education in English [Evidence required*] and
You completed your teacher education in a coutnry which has English as an official language
*This evidence will be in the form of a written statement from the institution confirming that English was the language of instruction for the qualification."
Surely I am mistaken about this. It makes no sense that I would need letters from the universities stating my education was in English when my degrees are English and I live in US??? I'm never going to get this finished at this rate. :no
Anyone else have to do this?
Thanks....!
