We want to book for NZ in April to go for a holiday for the last time. We are booked for a medical in March and as we are staying in NZ for a few weeks my DH is worried in case we miss the 3 month time limit before applying. Will we be able to apply when we are over in NZ? If so where do we apply to London or NZ? I would rather apply as soon as we can and hope that our medicals are okay. We have been told that we should be okay as we are going to retire to be with our two sons and we have some capital of our own so won't be too dependant on them.....Has anyone else ever applied while being in New Zealand, I feel sure that there must have been.......Jan

Whilst we did our EOI and were selected when in UK, we came over on visitors visas and completed the ITA process here - our files were just shifted from London office to Christchurch.

I don't remember there being any restrictions on where you first applied from....

We did our EOI to the UK, they have never transfered our files despite being in Wellington. I would advise doing it here as its cheaper sending documents up the road not abroad. I wish we had waited until we arrived.
