Just a quick Q for all those who have been down this route.

Even if your degree is on the NZ Immigration "Recognised Qualifications" and has been assessed as being at a particular level, do I still need to get the NZQA to do a full assessment to satisfy the Teacher Council requirements?

It is my understanding that yes, you do. Pre-assessment is not enough (although sufficient for the EOI), and the TC form states that full assessment is required (and it costs a load!)

Yes definitely, and NZQA will then send a copy to Teachers Council and tell you they've done that. You can then apply to Teachers Council.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to hold onto that $450 or whatever it is now!
