Question NZIS Beijing

Hey all......has anyone sucessfully contacted their CO in Beijing in this past one week? Our CO is Michael Liu and he normallyy replied e-mail within the day but this past one week has been like a black hole. We have e-mail and called him since last Wed and have not gotten a single reply from him.

Anyone got any idea??

Try calling the NZIS Beijing general line to find out if your CO is on unscheduled leave.

Thanks,

Finally got through to the guy and he said...........wait. More verification to be done. However he did admit that he has a backlog to clear.

Did you ask what sort of verification?

It's 10weeks since our interview... and no news from Shanghai.

I would suggest you may want to leave him be for a little while, the harder you push the slower they may go.

I know.......

That's where I am glad that it's my OH who is doing the following up and not me. OH has got better patience than ME!! I would probably drive my CO crazy.

Ben,
He did say that all medical and documents are in the clear. What's pending are verifications from 3rd party. When enquired which 3rd party ( thinking that we could help hasten the pace ), he did not want to say.

Final conclusion.......wait and be patience.

For what it's worth, our experience with Michael was that he was responsive to polite pressure. I called him frequently and I am certain that the process would have taken much longer if I had not done so.
