A few months back a family came out from England to visit family members, he didn't give himself enough time to recoup from the flight or the change in time zone, was out driving while tired and unfortunately drove into a tree killing his wife, granddaughter and another member of the family, he acknowledged that he should have taken it easy for a few days first. This is happening to other tourists as well.
A point to remember, I think, is don't overdo it for the first few days.

Hi Fern hopefully we should be acclimatised by the time we pick up the van as we are spending the first week based in ChCh filming with the BBC and then the second week is our own. I am a bit concerned about trying to fit too much in and not really appreciating our time in NZ. It's just knowing what the bests bits are.
