Hello all and thanks for finding each other...

I am days away (alledgedly) from receiving a formal offer of service from the NZ Army. There has been much activity regarding it becoming an accredited employer.

If I read this correctly, and I hope I don't, this will gain me exactly no extra points (115) because despite the offer I've still, like all of us, got to hurdle this demented points system.

My question is, if someone can please help me, what's to gain by being an accredited employer, and is it likely to help me in any way? How does accreditation aid any primary candidate once that employer has tabled its job offer ?

Thanks guys, looking forward to leaving my soon-to-be home in Palmerston North to run around the Oz outback every year...ahhh,dreams.

An accredited employer can offer you a position without recourse for a job market survey. this will allow you to get a LTWV very quickly. This can last up to a max of 30 months ... of course then you will have a job and extra points and your 115 points will become 165 points and you can immediately apply for PR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice One
