Has anyone had to amend their "paper" EOI for any reason? I submitted mine in early Jan on paper before the electronic version was released. My situation has changed since (new job and different bracket for work experience) hence increasing my overall points. My points total will raise to 115 but I'm not sure if by Sept 09 (when I get removed from the pool) it will go down that low. I suppose what I'm saying is 1, does anyone think the points will decrease to that level within that timescale (personally not myself) and 2, how do i go about modifying my records - is there a separate paper form to send - or do I have to fill out the whole EOI again - please say its not true!!!!
Thanks,
Mike |

Hi there MJB,
I had to do this too - change of address plus points change - I wrote to NZIS by snail mail, then didn't hear anything for a while, and then the points went down to 130. So I started to get a bit anxious...
I e-mailed the NZIS website asking for help, twice, though it appears that there isn't any facility for altering a paper EOI on line. Meanwhile of course the reply letter arrived on our doormat and they'd changed the details no problem.
I'd get that letter in the post if I were you! Fingers crossed that the points go down - we're certainly hoping so too.

Thanks for the advise. Looks like I'll send in an amendment by snail mail (moorf, cant do so online as original was on paper, would be ideal if i could). Funny thing is my orginal application was credited with 165 points(when only expecting around 105) so they must have presumed I had a job offer/work experience in NZ when applying points to my application (as I certainly didnt state that). I have sent them mails querying this - but to no avail. Since 165 was first pulled from the pool I have heard nothing stating that I have been selected from the pool and that they miscalculated my points - as I would like to know what my re-assessed points total is. Anyhow, will just have to wait and see what happens. But I'm expecting to have to submit another application in a few months time (after getting "expired" out of the pool), and I shall definitely be applying online then!
Thanks again.
Mike. |
