Hi All,
Just curious to wheather anyone selected from the JULY / AUGUST EOI selection heard anything from NZIS? It'll be interesting for people like me in the process of applying to know how NZIS works after selecting you from EOI pool. Any information shared will be greatly appreciated. |

If it helps I was selected 23.6.04 from the pool.
NZIS today contacted NZ employer to confirm details of the new job.
Others picked in july already have invitation to apply ie the next stage.
seems to be a bit of a lottery.
good luck |

On another forum people who were picked in May are only just getting contacted surely it can't be taking THAT long?
BTW - what IS the next stage on from being selected? |

We have invitation to apply, picked from EOI 7th July. There is a post headed "were you picked 7th July" which details our traumas.

Hi Moorf et al,
The next stage after being selected! You will recieve an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for PR and will be requested to supply all the supporting evidence on which you have based your points total. Nothing to it for an avid NZ Guru like you! We decided to send in attested copies of valuable certs etc signed by a local JP in NZ for free. If you can do the same for free in the UK its worth it to avoid damage to those degrees, diplomas and 100m swimming badges that are so dear to us. A well organised submission will get passed quite quickly. What the case officers hate is too much or too little information so getting the balance right helps. You can do this by going through your document s and asking yourself if all the questions a case officer might have are covered by appropriate eveidence. eg P60's not only are evidenc of employment history but also cohabitaion/stable relationship if yoou and you partner both submit them. Pension fund summaries are also useful if a benifeciary is named as your partner and also indicate employment history etc.etc....
Waiting after you have submitted is the hard part!!!! it seems like forever but in actual fact London took only 4 weeks for ours!!!!
Good luck |

Well, that sounds straightforward enough!
So, a marriage cert isn't good enough to prove relationship - else why would P60's be taken into consideration on that point... |

I too was picked on 4th of august same as moorf, but its driving me nuts already. Checking email twice a day just in case. God alone knows what i'll do if they say no. Just a thought, how long do you get after they invite you to apply to actually do it?

Guys/Gals,
Same here, picked last August 4th. I called up NZIS EOI team in auckland. They told me that its currently taking them 8 weeks at the average to process EOI's. Take note this is the average so it may take shorter or longer.
So I guess you may start to worry after mid Sept if you havent heard anything.
Same here, Heaven's I pray dearly to have us approved. Wishing us all the best. |
