Am feeling inspired tonight (partly after reading through postings on this site) and am considering doing my dissertation for my MSc in NZ on a visitor visa. If a job comes up in the meantime it's meant to be and if not I come home and look at my holiday photos. Have spoken to estate agent re rental for my house (more sound advice from this site) - looks good as we live near train station that serves London in 50 minutes. Was going to do my dissertation here and go to NZ in March but feel I just want to take that leap and see what happens. Will ask my boss for 6 month sabbatical (unpaid) when i go back to work after my holiday (off to sunny Scotland for 2 wks).
Has anyone else here done anything similar? any probs i'm not seeing?
