Hi
I have submitted my EOI and it is in the pool awaiting selection.
Could someone who has already got his/her residence thru the Skilled Migrant Catefory let me know what are the documents that are needed to complete the process
I am referring to Visa forms 1104 and 1105 that are issued once you are pulled out of the pool and an invitation letter is posted to apply for residence.
I have been to the immigration office and they told me that these forms are only available for clients who are invited to apply for residence under the skilled migrant cat. These forms are not available to download on their website .
Just a list of the docs required like medicals, police reports and proof of work experience etc will be much appreciated.
Do NZIS call up your employers to check the validity of the work experience you have claimed points for in the EOI.
I know that some of the users of the this forum have already got their residence approved .
Could someone help me !
regards

Hi,
My EOI was selected from the Pool and I have my invitation to apply.
The formal application form they supply is already filled in with the information you provided in your EOI, so you just need to check it and confirm that it's still accurate.
Much of the documentation requested is pretty standard:
passport
birth certificate
medical and x-ray forms
police certificates
passport photos
Other information is very client-specific: for example proof of employment as whatever with such and such a company, or proof of eight years' work experience, depending on what you put on your EOI. By the time they send your Invitation, it would appear they've already gone through your EOI quite thoroughly and know exactly what they need you to supply.
I was also asked to provide specific information on a medical condition I'd disclosed in my EOI. Fortunately, my doctor had anticipated this, so all the extra cardiologist's reports and things have all been done.
I was also asked to provide further information on my qualification; in Scotland where I studied you automatically get a Masters after four years' study. I was asked to confirm my undergraduate qualification.
So in short, you will certainly be asked to provide the basics, passport, birth certificate etc, but there will probably be some specific information requested to clarify any unclear issues in your EOI. If you can think what those might be you might be able to get a head start on them.
Good luck,
Evelynne[/list] |
