Hi all things seem to be slotting into plance nicely at last
Husband got employment sorted, Visa applications going through nicely and house sale plodding on as it does.
We now have the points for eoi so this can go ahead as well, I know PR is going to be a long slog but at least we can move to NZ on our Visa's in the mean time.
we will be leaving the UK Mid July and can't wait.
Just thought I would share this with you we are so excited |

We are aiming for CHCH
Visas not arrived yet but will be through guarenteed within 6 weeks, but told probably sooner.
We know that they have all the correct paperwork and information as we took it to NZ House London.
Lets just hope everything goes smoothly with the house |

Anyone have an idea how long visas are taking to process form the UK? We took ours in person to NZ House last week - timescales seem variable form 10 days to 6 weeks depending on who you speak to.

Tara,
First of all congratulations , I can't imagine how excited you must be, is there any trepidation? I'm interested in the visa's, what did you have to do for your visa, is it, as people indicate, automatic if your husband has the visa?
I've got my fingers (and everything else) crossed in the hope of an offer after an interview a few weeks ago and wanted to know what I need to do for my wife & son.
I hope the house sale and move go well. Where are you headed for in Christchurch?

Hi Tara
Great! I know exactly how you are feeling as I was in your position 3 months ago! Enjoy your last month - do LOT's of shopping and stock up on all those essentials from M & S, Boots and Next :( How I miss the shops ChCh is a great city - where will you be living? Have you got children?
Bring your thermals and don't do what I did - pack all your best winter gear to arrive around the time NZ summer starts!
Best of luck

Tara
Congratulations, on the speedy work of NZIS for you. Ours was supposed to be a fast track system and yours has gone quicker. We hand delivered our applications to NZIS London on 25 May, it was Tues this week (2weeks later) that we had telephone confirmation that they had been approved and passports should be received within the next few days. I am still waiting. We did have a little confusion with the girl from NZIS when we dropped of the applications (re talant visas) so this may have slowed things up.
Congratulations again!
Susanlin
No Next, M&S or Boots, Where do I buy my clothes? underwear or Shampoo?! And what about Early Learning Centre? With 3 little ones to entertain do I need to stock up on good quality toys also?
