Hi Darren
Good question, I've been pondering on this matter aswell. I've been looking into National Bank recently as they appear to be linked with Lloyds UK. I don't know if there's any reciprocation though.

| The ASB has come out tops in consumer surveys over the last few years. The TSB which operates out of New Plymouth is also good. The new state-owned Kiwi Bank which operates out of post offices is very competitive. |

Hi,
We went with National and they have been helpful and professional. No worries!

Hi, starting this one up again because, I wanted to know which is the cheapest bank to deal with, some seem to have pretty hefty bank charges.
I was with National Bank previously and they were fine but have spoken to them on 3 occasions recently including speaking to my old branch and found them unhelpful and giving conflicting advice.
Can anyone recommend a bank that has a helpful migrant section ?

Hello
We have just opened an account with kiwibank. They have been very helpful so far and even contacted us to make sure we had received the info pack etc.
Not sure if we have made the right decision, but we can always change later.
Once we have confirmation that our account with them is open we then intend to open the high interest account with Superbank (see the other link on this).
Hope this helps

| If you check out the link that Michelle posted re interest rates you will see that there is a higher savings account interest rate of 9% now being offered (or do I need new glasses?). |
