Hi,
I have been living in Taiwan for the past 6yrs. I met my girlfriend 3yrs ago. Chee is Japanese. We lived together in Taiwan for 14mths. Chee had to return to Japan for family reasons. We have lived apart for the last year, with frequent visits. I'm am now planning to spend some time in Japan. But ultimately we want to move back to NZ and get married. Chee is fluent in English and Chinese.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Steve |

Are you a citizen of NZ?
I imagine you will be able to bring Chee home with you, and she will probably have to apply for residency, you may have to prove that your relationship is genuine by producing evidence of joint accounts, joint bills, photos, love letters, emails and so on.
But you need to get official advice on this. Good luck. |

If you do decide to get married in NZ have you put any thought into where abouts?
I know that there are so many fantastic locations, but can I recommend the Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo. I got married there in October and it was fantastic. The most beautiful place on Earth in my view. |
