My parents have been to NZ before and loved it (obviously!). Their best friends from our Armed Forces days now live in Blenheim and have done for over 20 yrs.
I know that if they could they would drop everything and move over to NZ once my partner and I were settled - they are both nearing retirement.
What options are open to them if my partner and I have PR? Or are there any other options open to British pensioners?
Just thought I'd arm myself with info - I'd love to have them come over to live - what if I put them up in NZ? Granny flat?

Hi there Moorf,
Don't want to put a downer on your / their hopes, but I think they would only be able to claim reidency if you are either their only child or only surviving sibling.
They may be able to get in under the investor scheme..............if they have min NZ$1,000,000

Just kidding - that might be the way... could they invest in a company that my hubby and I may set up out in NZ?

Hi again Moorf,
I think maybe you will have to have had the business for about 2 years, maybe Jamie Smith could better advise you.
All the best, hope there's a way for them.
