I want to emigrate to NZ but don't have any qualifications/degree/masters etc.
I am 24 years old and work in the veterinary business as a nurses assistant. Therefore I am not actually qualified as a veterinary nurse. Does anyone know if i can still some over there to live/work and do these kind of jobs exist in NZ. fingers crossed

don't know myself but i guess you'd start by working out how many "points" you get from the immigration system. it'll be on here somewhere:

www.immigration.govt.nz

however you win the prize for the most smileys used in a row!

Cheers "Mattford"
The problem is my job doesn't appear on the list - therefore I loose points because I can't actually answer the question.
Pity I don't get points for using smileys eh? Nice One

Hi hailey, get yourself a working holiday visa. It allows you to work here for a year, although not in permanent employment. During that time, you may be able to get something permanent provided your would-be employer has tried and failed to get a new zealander for the position. I can't say whether you will get permanent work, but a working holiday is the best possiblity for you imho.

Hi Hailey. The info I have in front of me says that the working holiday visa cat. opens in July each year and is available on first come first served basis for 2000 people. You need to have a return ticket and show that you have acces to funds to cover living expenses.
There is plenty of cheap accomodation available and it is not too expensive to eat and drink out.
There are a lot of schemes aimed at student working hols. in NZ. Try contacting some of the major tour operators who will be only too willing to help.
Trailfinders are popular with you youngens I believe.
Good luck
