| Hi, I'd be grateful if anyone could tell me the cost of nursery school for a three year old for about four hours each day. Thank you very much. |

| For four hours a day, good quality pre-schooling comes in at around $120 per week. You will find more expensive also, particularly in posh parts of Auckland. :) |

Hi Angela,
Check out the child care options available via Barnardos. They have a network across NZ providing all types of childcare from as little as NZ$3.5 per hour! http://www.barnardos.co.nz/home/index.asp. They can put you in touch with nannies, in-home childcare and day nurseries...Hope this helps!!  |

I should add, since I've written it elsewhere, that good quality, full-time pre-schooling is about $165 per week in Christchurch - not a great deal dearer than for four hours per day. |

I have twin 2 year old daughters....bless....They cost me and my wife £1200.00 (over NZD3000) per month to go to full time private nursery!!!!! No we didn't qualify for assistance! So my wife gave up work and we became richer for it! What a nonsense...I could get really political here but I will resist the temptation!  |
