Hi all,
Hubby and i just took our two children and a friend of my Daugters to see Shrek 2, it was an excellent film and a barrel of laughs which is just as well after the shock of paying for tickets and buying popcorn, drinks etc, i was surprised at the cost , anyway does anyone know if cinema's in NZ are any more economical, we spent 42 pounds to see the film , i need a lie down to get over it i think!

our cinema charges £3 per person- adult or child , if you go to a morning or early afternoon showing.
Glad you enjoyed the film though
We can't wait to see it. |

Thanks Tanya.
Yes i was absolutely astounded at the cost but wanted to take kiddies for a day out and the experience etc, it was my little boy's first visit, he's 3, most of it went completely over his little head, but good time had by all, i don't think we'll be rushing back though, i can wait till we get to NZ, sounds like a much better deal out there.
Cheers for the info Tanya

Hi Lisa
I have been to the cinema today to see 'New York minute' with my daughter and her friend. It cost me $50 for 3 tickets, 2 buckets of popcorn, bag of M & m's and 3 cokes. Works out approx £18.00 I think. The cinema was great - in Christchurch, a bit like Warner Village in UK. We had a throughly good afternoon! ( I enjoyed the film more than the girls I think as I could only hear me laughing)
