consultancies

Hi everyone

Just wanted to ask if anyone has any experience of using any of the consultancies to help them with gaining jobs, visas ect. We are considering going down this route any hints and tips very welcome.

hi, good to see another Chelmsford person looking to make the move. We came over on a LTBV and sorted ourselves out, just using the emigration group to check our application before we sent it. If you do go the consultancy route take the time to phone, get quotes and chat to the various people.
We found a tremendous difference in prices and attitudes amongst the various agencies and I think I am right in saying that the malcolm pacific one was very discouraging and expensive. On the phone they told us it just wasn't possible for us at that time to do our own business application and it wouldn't stand a chance of getting through. Well it did and we are here now.
If you go to NZ house they will give you advice and you can pick up the emigrate newspapers, these list loads of agencies so if you choose to go that route then you can canvas them. But it is possible to do it yourself.

Thks for the advice re consultancies we are in the process of ringing round a few but are also trying to make a start on things ourselves. Where abouts in Chelmsford did you used to live we are actually in South Woodham Ferrers about a 20 minute drive from the centre of Chelmsford and while we were on holiday in NZ in Dec we went on a boat trip and the captain had lived in SWF 20 yrs ago!!!
