Hi all,
Can anybody tell me how far it is from Ohura to Auckland, and what is it like in Ohura? We have seen a property advertised very cheaply and wondered if it was a dodgy area, or just a bargain!! Thanks.

A quick search on google gives the impression that Ohura is in the middle of nowhere. One person wrote that it looks like one of those deserted towns in cowboy films, and somebody else said, it's in an area where farming is no longer profitable so many people are leaving. That's prob why the property is so cheap.
Isn't it always like that, a huge catch to what looks like a good offer?!

Hi Laura,
If it's on the North Island, it's down by New Plymouth...about 300 Km's from Auckland...not a short commute!
Here's a great NZ website similar to Map Quest called "Wises"...
http://wises.co.nz/
Hope that helps! |

Hi guys
Thanks to everyone who has replied, yes, its always the way, should have known it was too good to be true, GBP27,000 for a 4 bedroomed house and 20 acres. Never mind (sniff) I'll find my dream elsewhere in NZ i'm sure of that.
