many thanks to you all for your replies
i fogot to mention that i was on about power supply to hand tools such as drills/grinders etc, over here in the uk when in the factory or out on site we have to use 110volt tools,if we are drawing of a domestic supply or 415 we have to use a transformer[110volt] do you/they do the same in NZ ?
thankyou rodders/karl and rich for your input, twas much appreciated.
"RICH"--i'm going to spend some time looking through those links, thanks for going to the trouble to list them all for me |

Volusia,
I could be wrong...wouldn't be the first time but I don't think you'll find 110V supply in NZ for anything. I couldn't find it listed anywhere. I've read about various high-end three phase electrical supplies, but nothing less than 220V to 240V 50Hz.
If that's the case, you'll need to use a step-down transformer for 110V tools in NZ as well.
Best of luck! |
