I read in the Herald yesterday that Dunedin is experiencing growth at the moment, and needs more tradespeople. We are travelling over to the South Island in possibly in May, and this would be one place we would be looking in. Another plus is (I think) the house prices are slightly cheaper?
Has anyone got any views??? |

We touched the Southland last October, but sadly didn't get that far down. However everything we have seen and read is pointing my wife and I there, I would suggest logging onto the Dunedin website, they will send you a great little cd rom with some good info. The city is clean, spacious and as you say cheaper. It is a student city, but that just helps along the cosmopolitan side of things.
I have family in Christchurch, that would be another nice option.
Good luck, of course there's always Stewart Island if you really want to get away from it all. |
