Can anyone tell me the timescale from EOI selection until receipt of PR Visa?
I was selected on 7 July with 185 points and a job offer  . The NZIS website said it would take between 2 and 4 weeks to verify but I have just received a letter from NZIS confirming my selection and stating that it will be between 6 and 8 weeks for verification. Can anyone put some light on this? |

We were selected the same day and have just received the same letter. I tried ringing the help line who gave me a number in NZ to ring. He told me 3 months to verify before receiving an invitation to apply and then another 3 months for PR. I have read on this site that Auckland has a back log and it takes much longer hence the reason he told me 6 months. We are going with the letter and hoping we get an invitation (if everything is OK!) in 6 to 8 weeks.
Will post on hear when I hear something.

They gave me the wrong number of points (165 - think they presumed I had a job offer) and I haven't heard anything back yet to say I have been pulled from the pool (and put back in again, damn!) Sure the points will keep falling though, be positive because NZ need us as much as we'd love to join them!!!!
