:smile:Hi, I just remembered reading something about your situation in an NZ newsletter, so i've just rooted it out and here goes....
You will need to provide evidence that you and your partner have been living together for at least a year. If you are married a marraige certificate on it's own is not sufficient, evidence could include joint bank account, utility bills credit card statements, joint insurance, etc, i'm not too up on this subject but i hope that helps somewhat Smile Lisa.
p.s i'l come back to you if i find out any thing else out of relevance. Smile

JL, most of your questions should be answered here:-

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/Migrant/Stream/Live/Partner/CanISponsorMyPartner/

I am English and my partner sponsored me (my visa arrived a few weeks ago). I just had to have a medical and provide a police report. We both then filled out forms and sent everything off along with evidence of our relationship. It took around 6 weeks to get the visa.

Regards

Richard
