Any one get any idea how many applications NZIS receive for the annual lottery!
I know that 250 places were available in 2003 but just wondered how high the odds were stacked against you 
My parents are currently being sponsored by my brother but have just learnt it may be 6-12 months before their application is assigned to an officer  they application was received by NZIS mid December...Was planning on applying as sole remaining family member once my parents had moved but will consider most anything to get an application in sooner.
Family category is the only way I could be granted residence as don't have sufficient 'O' levels let alone a degree!!

Ok 40/1, once backed a winner at 25/1 so might be worth a shot 
Anyone know how much the initial charge to sponsor is - that you obviously don't get back if you lose  |
