Hi to you all. I've just joined the forum but have been reading the posts for a few days now, this this is an excellent site!
We've both been emailing our CVs (resumes) to a variety of recruitment sites; Civil Engineering and Food Production companies but are wondering if this is the best way to be getting work?
Does anyone have any tips for applying for jobs remotely? It's difficult to know which are the good recruitment companies that will actively promote our CVs.
As for points, we have 115 and are tempted to put in the EOI now!
best wishes

Hi Debbie,
Below is a quote from one of our threads. You can also send CV's to job vacancy post on job sites that you feel you are fully qualified.
best of luck,

quote="Robert"]I know I'm not in IT but I found no difficulty getting a job.
A tentative enquiry to a specialist agency resulted in 3 serious and 2 curious job offers within a month of application. The three better offers were all pleased to wait 6 months until I could get a visa sorted, which m given that I had an offer was approved.
My only problem was that as I have a vocational degree, my residence cannot be approved until I am registered in NZ which required a separate work visa (sent by return of post!) but when I get registered on landing, I can then ask for residence to be completed.
I would suggest you approach an agency. They will be able to find a suitable employer and, as someone on the OSL you will get a work visa in no time.[/quote] |
