Hi Sesame!! 
Thank YOU for all the things you've posted!  We're all in the same boat here...trying to change/start/build a new life. Most people we've talked to are amazed that anyone would even try it so all of us deserve a big pat on our proverbial backs for our sheer bravery...or stupidity or naivety or whatever it is! 
For some reason people, particularly Americans I think, love to dwell on negative things...especially things they cannot control. I too refuse to buy into that because if we do, "they've" won. Whatever happens the odds are much greater that we'll get hit by a bus, so try not to worry too much...and watch out for Rapid Transit!
We do feel very safe here. They have their share of crime and all, but guns are illegal for the most part so it's not so violent and even when it is most people survive. What a concept! 
Keep working on your dreams...they can come true!  |
