Way to go Tara!
We're not far behind you so go find us a good pub!!!
How long until you cease internet contact? (Wow, that sounded really Trekkie!)

good luck Tara and family
Would love to hear your impressions of Christchurch.
We'd love to head that way too but it's not likely as Primary teachers are struggling to find work there.
Will keep looking though and will have to go to Auckland if nothing else turns up.
All the best for your new life

Oh Jus....you are soooo right.
Hubby just finished 5 1/2 yrs of study (deg, hons, then 15mths at teachers college) and he graduated april...and can he get work.....$20k loan to be unemployed!!!!
15 cv's sent off (he is doing primary) and one interview and he didnt get it...and he isnt that scary (maybe us having 5 kids puts them off!!) 15 cv's as that is all that has been advertised in the 3 mths...arrgh
No one wants to leave chch once they have a teaching job here...makes it really hard....but life is good!!!!
Someone will give him a break I am sure....he is competing with everyone from overseas too...thanks to the net. One school had 200 applicants, and they took a guy on a telephone interview from yorkshire....what is that all about...??? I am cooool with that....!
Tara..CONGRATS!!!!! Looking forward to meeting up
