Hi
Anyone ideas on choice & cost of furniture in Dunedin? Don't know whether to take advantage of UK Sales and buy new furniture to ship out or buy once there??
What are other folks doing?

We bought all our big furniture here and brought all the little things with us (lamps, coffee table etc). No regrets at all. We replaced the big stuff for about 30% more than what we sold it for and of course we saved on the shipping cost too. So we probably broke even. Its cool having new stuff in your new home too! |

Hi All,
Does anybody have any idea what are the prices of a 21 inch TV (new), bedroom set, sofas, refrigerator.
I just want an average price range, ofcourse prices may vary with the brand.
If anybody can help me with the automobile price range too !!!
Thanks !!!! |

Hi Shehryar
The price for a colour TV ranges from NZ$ 350 to 700.
A Transonic 21 TV from the warehouse costs about $ 350, and brands like Sony will cost about $ 500. See www.noelleeming.co.nz or farmers.co.nz
A new sofa set will be about NZ$ 3000, again there are places that you can get these for less.
Queen side beds are about $ 1200 with mattress and base and fridge is about $ 700 brand new.
You can get a second hand car from a dealer for about NZ$ 7000 to 10,000 Check out the web site http://www.thecarbuyer.co.nz/
You are talking about a late 1994 model with about 70,000 KM on the odometer. The likes of a Honda Accord, or Nissan Pulsar 4 door family sedan.
Hope that this answers your questions
regards
