Can anyone please give me up-to-date information on the situation for a non-resident in NZ (say on holiday) that gives birth here. This happenned to a friend of mine and no-one she or I have spoken to can tell me whether either the baby or they themselves qualify for residency... Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!

Iam sure I have seen a thread on here with regards to this one. I also read somewhere recently that the NZ govt. were looking to change the rules to stop people ( in particular the Pacific Islanders) coming to NZ just to give birth so that baby and I think parents qualified for residence.
Have a good look around the forum. Iam sure the answer is there. |
