My father was good enough to genetically pass onto me a problem called polysystic kidneys. I need to monitor my blood pressure and this needs regular tablets as my blood pressure can sometimes be slightly high. I also used to have asthma but have not taken anything at all for this for approximately two years.
Unfortunately that is not the end of my health problems. In 1997 I had a motorcycle accident during which my knee was damaged quite severely. There is a possibility that a replacement would be necessary in maybe ten years.
Can anyone tell me if the above issues would become a problem if I was to attempt to emigrate to NZ. Any help with this matter would be very much appreciated.
Thank you. |

Medically speaking, these conditions are easily dealt with here, although you may find that the medication you take is expensive or needs changing to a locally available alternative. The government only subsidises certain brands and these are often not the same as those on sale in other parts of the world.
Can't help with NZIS but I did understand that as long as you would not need an undue time off work, they would give you consideration.
Best of luck.
